Privacy policy

Wares and Wires (trading as Wares & Wires) is the controller of the personal data described below — the business that decides what is collected and why.

Only what you type into one of our two forms, and only if you submit it. The early-access signup takes an email address. The enquiry form takes a name, an email address, and your message.

Nothing else is collected through the forms — no payment details, no account, no address, and nothing about you that you didn't type yourself.

We set no cookies, run no advertising, and do not track you from one site to another. We do use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and records basic technical details — the page you came from, your country, your browser and device type, and how quickly pages loaded. It works without cookies and does not build a profile of you or identify you individually.

Web fonts are served from this site rather than a third party, so reading a page sends nothing to anyone beyond the processors below.

If you joined the list: to email you about early access, first-run stock, and progress on what we're building. Where the GDPR applies, the legal basis is your consent, given when you submit the form.

If you sent an enquiry: to answer it, and to carry on that conversation. Sending an enquiry does not add you to the mailing list — the two are kept separate.

We do not sell your details, share them for advertising, or pass them to anyone beyond the processors listed below.

Formspree receives both forms and delivers them to us. Cloudflare hosts the site, provides the analytics described above, and — like any web host — records standard request logs that include IP addresses.

Both are third parties with their own privacy policies. We only send them what is needed to run the site and the list.

Mailing list: until you ask us to remove you, or until we shut the list down. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes your address.

Enquiries: for as long as we need them to deal with what you asked about, and our records of the correspondence after that. Ask us and we'll delete them.

You can ask us what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Email us and we'll action it — there is no form to fill in and no account to log into.

Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, or the CCPA, including the right to complain to your data protection regulator. We do not sell personal information as the CCPA defines it.

This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect their details. If a child has signed up, email us and we'll delete the address.

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes affecting people already on the list will be sent by email.
